TERMS OF TRADE

1. One "obligation free" quote is provided for all inquiries at no charge within a 20km radius of Rotorua CBD. Outer areas may incur a charge, POA. Subsequent quotes for the same fence are charged at $50.00 + GST per additional quote, and payable prior to the revised quote being done.

2. All quotes provided are subject to a clear site, no obstacles, with boundary pegs identified. Site preparation charges are additional and are not included unless requested/agreed upon and otherwise stated on the quote.

3. If a quote relates to a boundary fence, then the Client whom ordered the works will be entirely responsible for the payment of the invoice for the total fence in full to Steve Williams Fencing, the recovery of the half share will be between the client and the other boundary owner. Steve Williams Fencing holds no responsibility in dealing with the third party unless otherwise pre-arranged and agreed upon by all parties before work commences.

4. The Client must contact Service Providers to have the location of all pipes, phone lines, cables etc marked before work commences. All care will be taken; however, no responsibility will be accepted for damage to these (i.e. power, phone, water, gas etc).

5. Occasionally unforeseen additional expenses associated with the job may arise and will be discussed with the Client as soon as possible. The Client will be liable for these costs; this also applies to any additional works and/or materials requested by the Client after original quotes have been accepted, including add on & additional extras not quoted on and asked for after the job has commenced.

6. Cancellation - In the event that the Client wishes to cancel the contract for the work at any time after acceptance of the quotation, they may do so at no charge up to 5 working days prior to proposed start date. For cancellation within 5 working days prior to proposed start date the Client shall pay all actual and reasonable costs and expenses incurred by the Contract together with a reasonable administration fee. This may include all materials that might have already been ordered for the contract.

7. The Client acknowledges that any estimates as to the time frames for the commencement and completion of the work are approximate only. We will use all reasonable endeavors to ensure the work is commenced and completed within the time frame specified but shall not be liable for any delay or failure to do so.

8. If in the unlikely event the Client has a dispute or is unhappy as a result of the Contract, the client must notify us by way of written notice within 5 working days of completion of the job. We will work with you to rectify your issue.

9. Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at a rate of 2% per month compounding each month. Until payment in full has been made, all materials will remain the property of Steve Williams Fencing. All costs and expenses associated with debt collection for overdue accounts are payable by the customer, including fees resulting from the use of Debt resolution/collection services which may be used in retrieval of such debt.

10. In some cases we might ask the client to pay a percentage deposit / booking fee before work commences. Similarly, we might ask the client to make stage payments during progress of the contracted work for larger jobs.

11. Payment Terms: Payment due 7 days following date of Invoice. We accept payment by Cash, Direct Credit and Credit Card. Credit cards incur a 2.9% processing fee.
